AMD64

This set of performance analysis was done to better understand the limitations of the AMD64 and the bottlenecks MOESI cache coherency brings to it. It would be interesting to see a work-around for latency mis-match seen in services making use of shared pages on the Linux operating system (gettimeofday, for example) at least for some facilities.

Benchmark Description

The machines were Sun x4600s. One 4-socket and one 8-socket machine was used.
