This set of performance analysis was done to better understand the limitations of the AMD64 and the bottlenecks MOESI cache coherency brings to it. It would be interesting to see a work-around for latency mis-match seen in some of the services making use of shared pages on the Linux kernel (gettimeofday, for example).0

Benchmark Description

The machines were Sun x4600s. One 4-socket and one 8-socket machine was used.
